Selby beaten by Hamilton

Defending champion Mark Selby has been knocked out of the Welsh Open snooker tournament, he was beaten five frames to three by world number 31 Anthony Hamilton.

Selby was served with a writ by his former manager shortly before the match, and this may have affected his performance.

Selby Starts Welsh Defence

Mark Selby is through to the quarter finals of the Welsh Open, after comfortably winning his first and second round matches.

Defending champion Selby beat Paul Davies 5-0 in the first round, and followed that with a 5-1 second round win against David Gilbert.
